4geeksmedia Mission Statement

As both specialists and noobs, 4geeksmedia strives to integrate and assimilate Geek Culture in North America. We wish to present our experiences and ongoing discoveries through the creation of documentary-styled online episodes, podcasts and other suitable media platforms. We are geek journalists!

This project stemmed from the overly packed schedules of four geeks that lost sight of some of their favourite hobbies: anime, board and card games, comic books, cosplay, film, manga, television and video games. Sometimes life gets in the way of what you love – and we’re trying to reclaim it.

Coming from academic backgrounds, we put special emphasis on history, research and discussion. We hope to expand our knowledge with the work of researchers before us and with the help of individuals involved in geeky West Coast communities.

This creative research project will touch on different locales in North America, from our local Vancouver base to other Canadian destinations and with visits to our southern neighbour: The United States.
